INFORMATION ON CHILDREN’S VISION

Wondering what kind of vision problems could be affecting your child? Did you know that school screenings do not pick up most vision problems that affect children? Children’s vision is precious and lack of depth perception, lack of focusing ability or eyes that are not teaming together can lead to trouble with learning, falling behind in school, and can even affect their sports skills.

The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends that your child has their first eye exam at 6 months and we recommend annual eye exams afterwards. Children are covered for eye exams every year through OHIP until they turn 20 years old. Bring your child in today to ensure they are seeing with the best and most comfortable vision. We look forward to providing your whole family, including your littlest ones, with the best vision care.
