Background: After a serious construction accident, my grandfather had countless surgeries to align his eyes. These surgeries were unsuccessful and I took an interest in how complex the human eye can be. The opportunity to form meaningful connections while providing a comfortable environment to support my patients with unique solutions to their visual needs is what brought me to optometry.

Professional: O.D. with Dean’s Honours, University of Waterloo School of Optometry, 2016.

Undergraduate: Honours B.Sc. in Life Sciences with a Minor in Psychology, McMaster University, 2012.

Memberships: College of Optometrists of Ontario; Ontario Association of Optometrists Canadian Association of Optometrists; Optometric Extension Program Clinical Associate. Affiliate member of the Lifesaving Society.

Giving back: I have gone on volunteer trips with VOSH and Eye Care International to give free eye exams and glasses to people in South America. I have also participated in the Cycle for Sight, raising money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness and rode in the Princess Margaret Ride to Conquer Cancer, raising money for cancer research.

Professional Interests: To provide a valuable and enjoyable eye care experience that permeates positively into the everyday lives of others.

Personal interests: Swimming, lifesaving sport, soccer, hockey, travelling, salsa dancing, good food, books and music.

Personal notes: I am part of a large and loving Italian family. I have two sisters, a brother and two amazing parents who have all pushed and supported me in achieving my goals and dreams.
