Dr. Cooke, OD
Neuro-Visual Optometrist

Background:  My early visits to the optometrist were not always my favourite appointments — especially when dilation was involved! Over time, however, they became some of the most meaningful moments. Getting my first pair of glasses and later contact lenses showed me how clear and comfortable vision can change the way you experience the world.

Professional: O.D. with Distinction, University of Waterloo, 2021.

Undergraduate: Honours B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Queen’s University, 2017.

Memberships: Ontario Association of Optometrists; College of Optometrists of Ontario; Canadian Association of Optometrists

Giving Back: I love being involved in my community. Over the years, I have participated in initiatives supporting youth literacy and numeracy and have provided one-on-one swimming lessons for children with special needs.

Professional Interests: Prior to joining Mind’s Eye, I spent several years practising in Orangeville, providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and managing a wide range of ocular conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and urgent concerns such as corneal foreign bodies. I enjoy combining this medical background with a thoughtful, patient-centred approach to care.

Personal Interests:  Music has always held a special place in my heart, and I have enjoyed playing both piano and violin for many years. I am also an avid reader and am always happy to discuss whatever world you are escaping to between the pages.

Personal Notes: I married my wonderful husband in 2025 and we are happy to call Etobicoke home.
